The County Administrative Board is an expert authority in areas such as nature and environment, community building, and rural development, directly subordinate to the government. The County Administrative Board in Södermanland is now seeking an archaeologist who will also serve as the Deputy County Antiquarian for the Community Building Department, Cultural Heritage Unit.

The Cultural Heritage Unit is led by a unit manager who is also the County Antiquarian. The unit currently has eight employees who contribute to good management and development of the county's cultural environments within their assignments. - ordering archaeological investigations, reviewing, and approving reports.
- internal collaboration between different subject areas.
- monitoring development issues, conducting environmental scanning, and serving as a link for knowledge and information dissemination internally and externally.
- assisting the County Antiquarian in changing and developing working methods within the unit and in the development and follow-up of operations.
Questions regarding national interests, environmental impact assessments, and assessments of impacts on the landscape in connection with municipal planning and exploitation are included in the case handling.

We are looking for someone who:
- holds an academic degree with a focus on Nordic archaeology or equivalent, as assessed by the employer.
- has at least 5 years of professional experience in planning, prioritizing, implementing, and evaluating archaeological projects of larger and smaller types, as well as procurement-like procedures according to KML.
- has documented leadership experience of at least two years.

- has good knowledge of legislation and national goals related to cultural heritage management's assignments.
- is well acquainted with working digitally and in GIS environments.
- holds a valid driver's license (B).
Desirable qualifications include knowledge of and/or experience in:
- government work from a county administrative board or other authority.
- the Environmental Code, the Planning and Building Act.
- new technologies, such as drones, 3D, or AI in archaeological work.
We are each other's work environment, and great importance is placed on your personal qualities. We want you to:
